Seta Modanloo is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She is completing her PhD in Psychiatry, building on her Master of Science in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Seta works primarily with adults and has a strong background in how mental health and work life intersect. She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and challenges with perfectionism. In addition to her work with adults, Seta also has experience supporting children and youth navigating pressure, change, and conflicts with parents.
At the heart of Seta’s approach is the belief that people thrive when they feel seen and understood. She aims to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, reflect on patterns, and move toward healthier ways of coping and relating. She values collaboration and believes that therapy should feel like a supportive partnership, not a one-sided process.
Clinically, she draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and play-based approaches for younger clients. She tailors each session to the person in front of her, guided by compassion, curiosity, and respect.
Seta offers services in English and Farsi. She looks forward to walking alongside clients as they build insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.
When she’s not in session, Seta enjoys spending time with her family and baking. She loves traveling and exploring new places, and she loves snowmobiling in the heart of the Albertan winter.
