Book with JingJing Virtual or In-Person at Clearwater Plaza or South Central (Garneau)
JingJing is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and her practicum at ReFocus You. She also holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from the University of Alberta.
Her approach to counselling is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. JingJing believes each person has a unique inner world shaped by their experiences, relationships, and environment. She takes time to learn what life has been like for each client, what matters to them, and what they need from counselling. Her counselling style is flexible, drawing primarily from person-centred, attachment-based, and compassion-focused approaches. Sessions may explore how past and present experiences influence emotions, beliefs, relationships, and ways of responding. When helpful, she also incorporates cognitive-behavioural strategies to build practical skills and support clients in their daily lives.
JingJing aims to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly, move at their own pace, and explore experiences that may feel difficult to carry alone. Her approach respects each person’s values, boundaries, culture, and lived experience while making room for the full complexity of who they are.
She welcomes children aged 10 and older, teens, and adults with a wide range of experiences and concerns. JingJing has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, relationship patterns, stress, and trauma.
Outside of the counselling room, JingJing enjoys hiking, nature walks, gaming, and exploring with her dog, Pluto.
