Therapy with children looks different from adult therapy. Depending on your child's age and needs, our therapists may use play therapy, CBT adapted for kids and teens, EMDR, solution-focused therapy and family sessions. Parents are part of the process: we'll share strategies you can use at home while respecting your teen's privacy.

Frequently asked questions
What age does my child need to be for therapy?
We work with children, teens and young adults. Our team uses age-appropriate approaches, including play therapy for younger children.
Do I need to be in the sessions?
It depends on your child's age and goals. Younger children often have parents involved; teens usually have some private time with their therapist. We'll discuss this with you at the start.
Is consent required?
Yes. For children under 18, we need consent from a legal guardian before therapy begins.
We see children and teens from across Edmonton, including Castle Downs, Griesbach, Lake District, Beaumaris, Clareview, Garneau, Strathcona, Old Strathcona, the University area and downtown.
