Psychoeducational Assessments in Edmonton

A psychoeducational assessment helps you understand how you or your child learns, why school or work feels harder than it should, and what support will help. Our registered psychologists complete assessments in Edmonton, at North District (12850 97 St NW), Clearwater Plaza (15353 97 St NW) and South Central Edmonton in Garneau (8506 104 St NW, two blocks north of Whyte Avenue).

What we help with

  • Struggling with reading, writing or math

  • Suspected learning disability

  • Attention and focus concerns

  • Giftedness or feeling bored at school

  • Gaps in learning

  • Anxiety or withdrawal at school

  • Behaviour challenges at home and school

  • Adults facing difficulty in post-secondary or work

How the assessment works

  1. Free 15-minute consultation to decide whether an assessment is needed, and to discuss cost and what to expect

  2. Intake meeting (about 1 hour) with a psychologist to review history and concerns

  3. Testing sessions, which may include cognitive, academic and behavioural measures, often over more than one appointment

  4. Scoring and report: the psychologist reviews all results and history

  5. Feedback meeting to explain results, any diagnoses and practical recommendations for home and school
