Marcello Troncoso
Book with Marcello Virtual or In-Person at South Office
Marcello’s work as a therapist is grounded in a deep interest in identity and alignment, i.e. how people come to understand who they are, how they relate to others, and how early experiences shape their sense of purpose, values, and direction. Through his academic training and clinical experience, he has become especially focused on helping individuals and couples examine entrenched patterns, redefine their self-concept, and move toward more intentional ways of living and relating.
Marcello works primarily with adults and couples, supporting clients with concerns including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, anger, self-esteem and self-worth, perfectionism, shame and guilt, men’s mental health, trauma-related concerns (including post-traumatic stress), and difficulties in functioning and inter-personal relationships. He pays particular attention to how attachment patterns, unconscious dynamics, and core beliefs influence identity and relational functioning over time.
His therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based and depth-oriented frameworks, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Adlerian Psychology, and Jungian Psychology, alongside person-centred principles. Marcello believes therapy should be collaborative, honest, and tailored rather than prescriptive. His work emphasizes insight, responsibility, emotional awareness, and value-driven action, supporting clients in developing a more coherent, grounded, and self-directed sense of identity.
Marcello offers therapy in both English and Spanish and is committed to creating a thoughtful, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported while also being meaningfully challenged in their growth.”
