Lynn Sackeyfio

Lynn Sackeyfio is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Lynn is committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care to individuals navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. She works from an integrative therapeutic framework, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Lynn thoughtfully applies these modalities to tailor her support to each client’s unique needs, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic experience.

Lynn has extensive experience working with adolescents (ages 13–18) in childcare, mentoring, and shelter settings. In her therapeutic work, she supports youth facing concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and low self-esteem. In her work with adults, she offers support in areas including trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, grief and loss. Her goal in every therapeutic relationship is to cultivate a safe and nurturing space that supports healing, encourages self-awareness, and promotes personal growth at every stage of the mental health journey.

In addition to her therapeutic work, Lynn has experience conducting formal psycho-educational assessments with children, youth, and adults in both rural and urban communities. Her assessment work has deepened her understanding of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning, which she integrates into her clinical work to provide more comprehensive and individualized care. This dual perspective enhances her ability to identify root causes of challenges, inform treatment planning, and advocate effectively for clients across educational and clinical systems.

Lynn is especially passionate about providing culturally attuned care and supporting those who may have felt unseen or underrepresented in traditional mental health spaces. Her own lived experiences motivate her to provide the representation and support she once sought, and to create a space where all clients feel seen, understood, and valued.
