Lyndsay Long

(Director of Community Engagement)

Lyndsay Long is a Registered Psychologist (6162) in Edmonton, Alberta and has been supporting adults, adolescents, and children in various counselling roles.

 She has worked mainly with clients that have concurrent disorders, have experienced trauma, and were struggling with substance abuse. In addition, she has worked with clients who have displayed symptoms consistent with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and issues with anger. She has experience providing counselling to the FNMI community and takes pride in using a multicultural lens. Her extensive background in sports and fitness has also helped her when it comes to addressing sports and performance related concerns athletes may address in therapy.

 You can expect her to bring compassion, a nonjudgmental environment, and warmth to therapy sessions. She believes in walking alongside her clients. She feels that everyone is unique, and tailors counselling to fit the needs of the individual. As such, she utilizes many modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, person-centered approach, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and brief therapies.

Lyndsay is also an approved provider for Veterans Affairs and Non-Insured Health Benefits Program (NIHB).
