Loredana Potestio

Loredana Potestio is a Registered Psychologist (5432) with the College of Alberta Psychologist (CAP) and is a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta (PAA). 

She holds specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. In addition to these techniques, Loredana has experience completing behavioural and academic assessments for schools. 

Loredana began her career in psychology working for non-profit organizations; delivering workshops and working with inner city populations. She then continued on the educational path, where she taught Junior High students and Early Childhood students between the ages of 3 and 5. 

After working with the school board, Loredana transitioned her career and began working for Alberta Health Services. It is with this organization that she worked with children, youth, and families. She has obtained much experience in her career working with teachers and classroom staff, ensuring that student' developmental needs are being met. 

Lastly, Loredana has also worked in private practice working with adults, couples, and children. She has facilitated both group and individual therapy sessions and workshops. 

Loredana is also an approved provider for Veterans Affairs and Non Insured Health Benefits Program (NIHB).

When Loredana is not busy promoting mental health she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to travel to new places.
