Anjali Lakani

Anjali Lakhani is a graduate of a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree. She is currently practicing as a mental health therapist. Anjali believes that self-growth and strength are derived from exploring, discovering, and examining life’s various experiences. Anjali employs an open and curious approach with her clients, providing a safe space for learning and change to occur at their individual pace. With her background in biological sciences, she is able to approach therapy with an evidence-based perspective. Anjali recognizes the importance of taking a culturally sensitive approach in counseling and brings a wealth of experience working with diverse populations through her employment with the Government of Canada and education in cultural competencies.

 

Anjali is adept at addressing stress, anxiety, and depression among a diverse population with varying demographics. She has an interest in helping individuals manage chronic pain, as it impacts every aspect of a person's life, from physical functioning to emotional well-being. Some modalities that Anjali utilizes are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution- Focused Therapy (SFT), and play therapy with younger clients. She looks forward to meeting and working with you to process your emotions in a meaningful way and live a liberated and empowered life. Anjali offers services in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
